HIDs were a pain at first, but that's because I blew 2 fuses checking the polarity of them and had to buy 15 amp fuses over the 7.5 stock ones. I couldn't get in touch with their tech support or email yesterday, so I was rather frustrated at them. Sidemarkers are clear with an amber bulb. Only about 15 dollars each for them. Installation took about an hour for them. Hardest part was wiring them. Thx for the compliments .
You are running a risk of fire unless you rewired. The headlamp wiring looks pretty thin. A 15 (or 20) amp could allow the insulation to melt (IMO). After you have the headlights on for a little bit, I would see if the wires are hot. Just putting in larger fuses (if that is what you did) is asking for a meltdown. Not saying it will happen, but it is better to be careful. Underhood fires are not fun...
