Where can I get a hygrometer and about how much does it cost?

You can usually get a hydrometer for coolant or battery electrolyte testing at the same places you would buy antifreeze or batteries; i.e., auto supply stores, Wal-mart, etc. I'd guess they start under $10. for DIY type, more for a pro model.

If your battery has a "glass eye" its already got one built in.

As mentioned above, you can get them at Walmart, Trak Auto, etc. for about $4.00.
