Lots and lots of "hotrods" are automatic, so that is not really a legitimate complaint. But take off the stupid plastic bumpers, drop an LS6 in there and now you are talking! I believe this is what Chrysler envisioned, just providing a good looking base car for lots of modifications. But for that to have happened, the car would have to be popular, and nothing can be that popular at that price! Sacrifice lots of options and quality, put in the PT Cruiser price range, and as the popularity opens up, so will the aftermarket.
