The TH fix is for hanging revs after shifting. Nothing to do with idle rpm.
Also the TH fix can cause you car to stall when the weather gets cold. Some folks even have a winter size & summer size plug.
How long have you had the TH fix installed?
Have you checked the alignment of the plug?
Have you taking it out and tested everything?
