Careful! You can't just get rid of it, not without some kind of rewireing mod.
I relocated mine, in preparation for cutting out the bottom of the spare tire well. I'm going to have a sheet metal "box" welded in below the car there to enlarge the volume of the tire well and use it as the enclosure for my subwoofers.
Anyhoo, I had relocated it, remade the wires and hose connections, and went to start the car, and it would not start. Turns out the wire connection was not making good contact. When fixed the car started right up. Apparently the 'puter expects to see something there, and won't let the engine start w/o it.
