OP 00SVTdubs New CEG\'er 0 Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 11 Chicago, IL and Evansville, IN	went to shift to second and the shifter broke I think. The shifter will move with no resistance in any way I wanted. Is this the shifter or transmission??? chrisilversvt_dup1 Hard-core CEG'er C Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 2,857 memphis area,tn.	pull the boot up and check it out...the bottom of the shifter(ball) may have just popped out of the cable part...but we cant know for sure without more details...pop up the boot and check to see what's going on... new,new ride! jbirdSVT New CEG\'er J Joined: Aug 2002 Posts: 11	yeah. pop the boot off and check to make sure the little tensioner spring is still hooked on both ends. i had this problem once, after racing and slamming gears with the B&M. easy fix. just a scary problem.

Then all of sudden, you notice, you only have 1, 3 and 5th gears..... i think Elky is the only one I know that actually BENT the B&M Shifter!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry....a little OT.
