As for the sticking throttle, Big Jim has it right. Remove the inlet hose from the throttle body and use either intake cleaner or some gasoline on a rag, and clean all around the throat and the butterfly. Be sure to carefully clean the step area where the butterfly closes because that is the point at which the sticking starts. Takes about 15-20 minutes to do a good job. I would recommend not to spray throttle body cleaner heavily into the throat even with the engine running. You'll probably get a "Check Engine" light.
