Hey man dont beat you self up over this I would have to admit last year about this time I blew a tire and did the same thing. Changed the tire and through the jack in the trunk the next day I tried to get it back in there and was ready to pitch the damn thing. One suggestion I have is looking in the owners manual. I believe there is an illustration on how to put it back in there. Pretty sure that is what got me through this.Good luck.
