A friend of mine wants to sell me his 17 inch Italian rims off of his infinity but they have the 5 lug bolt pattern. He says that you can buy adaptors to convert them to the 4 lug pattern. Is this true and if so are there any issues with doing so? thanks

I just got one talking to a friend about this and he said something about buying the 5 lug hubs? has anyone done this conversion? I wonder if it will screw anything up and if it will be expensive??

well this'll be costly but u can have the 5 lugholes filled and have the wheel redrilled for our 4bolt pattern. i know it can be done cuz i just read article where someone did it with bmw bolt wheels for a grand prix

I wouldn't use an adapter because I think it'll mess up the offsets. About the filling and redrill method... nah, it'll cost more than getting those wheels brand new that have the right bolt pattern and offset.

Is there any way possible to change our cars from 4 to 5 lugs? Like use hubs from another vehicle?

On some cars it offers bigger brake selections. Not a big deal on ours.
If you really want to do it I'm sure there are quite a few universal 4-5 lug adapters/spacers. Do a search and you'll prolly come up with a few.

You might be able to use hubs from an X-type...

cuz u find a wheel that u fall in love with and its a 5 lug pattern. if u got money to burn, why the hell not. i personally dont. or check with the wheel manufacturer. sometimes they'll carry "blank" wheels so they can be drilled to what u want so u dont have to fill and drill
