why such a huge difference in the trap speed

My car was having a bad day that day I have had 100 mph trap before, so I know my car is capable of high 13's

I think PhatSVT had a horrible 60' on his run as well.

Yeah my sixty foot consisted of 2.669 on that run. As for trap speed it might be due to the 17" TSW imolas I was running on. I was running 3/4 tank of gas and had my 2-12" subs in the back on that run too. I think I could have done slightly better with the reduction in weight. Ah well I saw what I ran in everyday street trim. Plus I didn't expect a 100+ MPH trap speed due to I was running 96 MPH trap speeds before. I guess the nice 50 degree weather helped some.

I remember when Simon trapped 100 MPH a while back but with a worse e/t. with a built tranny, quaife lsd, and nitto d/r's I would say 13's would be no thang.

How many miles did you guys have on your cars when you put the SC on? Im asking cause mine's getting up there in miles and I was debating to go SC or Turbo or even 3L.

1. SC bolts on to motor as is

2. Turbo bolts on to motor as is

3. 3L is a "freshend motor" with heavy breathing

I had about 50k miles when I installed the vortech, and now have about 62K.

I have 68k with the s/c getting put on as we speak.

Older M3's (2-door mtx) ran 14.0 quarters. convertables and four doors were slower.
Newer ones run 13.0 quarters. 320 rwh!

Those M3's are bad and I would love to have one, but my budget just doesn't suit it.

I had 54K miles(2-13-01) on mine when installed and now it has 70K miles (11-4-02).

What rpm does the power for the supercharger kick in? And what rpm do you guys shift at?

The vortech starts making boost around 3k rpm. Then depending what chip you have(some vortech spec chips bump up the redline, some dont ), stock redline or 7500. I shift at 7500 if I am at the track, otherwise its usually about 6500 in spirited street driving.
