This is some information for those who may be shopping for an used Ford ESP: What kind of warranty you can get depends on the milage of your car. You can get 4 year warranty if you have less than 40K; 3 years if less than 60K; 2 years if less than 80K. You can't buy a Ford warranty if you are over 80K.

I do know that the price for and ESP goes up with age and mileage. But you gotta negotiate a bit more. When I bought my 2000 SVT the jerk-off finance guy said his absolute cost was $1250 for the 5/75,000, then 5 minutes later he was able to lower it to $1100. I was with a former finance guy and he said to forget this guy. I called the dealer told how horrible my first experiance buying a car was and how the finance was trying to screw me, which he was and he told if I wanted to come in I could have the ESP for cost... $650.
Funny thing about it, I offered the first guy $800 and he wouldn't take it, he could have made the difference himself.
