This is kind of funny becasue I dyno'd exactly the same today. Actually 153 / 140 hp/tq. I dyno'd just after getting the car and managed only 163. My cats are going bad I believe though. I just had bank 1 replaced, but the car stinks almost all the time now just driving around town. I think the front bank precat is on its way out now. This does really suck...damn 00's running so rich!

Agreed. Hopefully some a/f tuning this week will cure that.

No. I hit 184, 185 for Derek, Demon is estimated near 200 and Erik is over 190. I think those are higher than other years.

I have Derek's chip program on file if you want to try a copy.

You know you wanna try it...

No, no, no, no. I don't think you understand what I meant. It's obvious that they seem to be taking to mods better. But stock the #s seem to be a bit lower. I'm not saying all of them. I've just noticed some lower stock hp #s with this model year.

My first dyno was 164, and I had headers (and a few other mods) on at the time. I think the '00s may be dynoing low until they're tuned and/or tweeked up.

That proves my point right there. Your car dynoed 164 WITH headers. That is absurd. Any (MTX) car advertising 200 at the crank should be closer to 170 than 160 any day of the week. And there are a bunch of us struggling to top 160 bone stock.

Obviously there will be variations among cars. A 20whp difference isn't so bad when you're at 300+ crank. But at 200, you need every last bit you can get. Sorry if I sound bitter. It's just irritating. When an SVT Focus isn't dynoing too far away from you, its a little humiliating. Hell, most RSX-S dynos I've seen are right at 170 if not more.

As for your program, I'd love to try it. But I've already talked to Keyser and I would have to buy another chip. I'm supposed to be getting this Diablo tuned in a day or two. Hope something good happens.

Man that sucks that that happened to you when you went to dyno, i pulled a 173hp and a 155tq the first time I dynoed and all I had was a basanni cat-back and a KKM intake. Not to mention I dynoed with 18's. I so want to dyno again with the headers, pro-flow, and trans work i had done. I want 190hp!!! I have to be there or close! I bet you got 170 easy now.
