There was a dash piece under the steering wheelon my car and one of the bolts that holds it on was cross threaded on and I guess the assembly worker gave up half way. I got the johnson bar on it and reefed it tight and voila, no more rattle. I suggest tighening all you dash bolts

my question is how do y'all know you have the same rattle?

so i obtained a rattle in the dash after i installed my V1 radar detector. When i removed the A-pillar trim i ripped most of the back of it off. so it no longer fits tight. the bottom of it rattles against the dash. I just stuck a shim in there to fix it for now. i ordered another one. anyone know the proper way to remove/install these?
best of luck on your rattles. they are the worst (try an 80's VW laugh )

"your" is possessive, "you're" is the conjunction that is short for "you are", "there" is for "the dictionary is over THERE", "their" is the possessive one, and "they're" is a conjunction that is short for "they are". have a nice day

Hadn't though of that. Got a '97.

Well, mine sounds like something is vibrating in the very center, almost dead center of the dash. Can't tell if it's an internal issue or a loose trim piece, but it's definatley right smack in the middle of the dash!! confused

I have an annoying buzzing rattle in the middle of the dash, a rappping-type rattle behind the instrument panel, and a high-pitched rattle at the bottom of the instrument panel. They all appear in the Fall and disappear in the Summer. I just turn the radio up! wink
