The MTX-75 will run around $1000-$1500 to rebuild depending on what's wrong with it and what you want to add. I added the Quaife and the updated shift tower for less than $2000, which is what AAMCO wanted to rebuild my transmission STOCK! If you're having MTX problems, do yourself a favor and talk to Terry. Saves you big $$$ even after shipping costs.

You have to have that information BEFORE you go to the shop,
and then talk to them about upgrading the parts in the tranny during the rebuild.

Most shops are OPEN MINDED and will install upgraded parts, if it means a better tranny build for both them and you,
and a satisfied customer.
There are a few shops that won't do anything other than replace what is there, no matter what you tell them.
It is always a good idea to talk to the rebuilder and the Shop Manager to get a handle on what you can and can not
have done, and how much of that they will do for you.

Also get in WRITING anything that they will modify, along with the costs involved,
so you don't get surprised when you go to pick up the car.
