OP sproket90 Newbie S Joined: Oct 2002 Posts: 4	97 Ford Contour 2.0L 49k miles beautiful car... when starting in the morning, you can hear/feel the timing belt hit the cover on the left/top side of the motor. This lasts for about 2 minutes, you feel a thump every 5 or six seconds. Is this normal or is water pump/idler bearing going out..? Also should I consider replacing timing belt/water pump/idler bearing..? TIA
