I have my resonator removed but I want to throw on the high flow glasspack. Anyone got the price of it?

Screw glasspacks, get something decent like a Magnaflow resonator or a Dynomax!

Yeah, what he said. I actually put in a high flow Vibrant Resonator and love it.

Resonator was $45.00 and installation was $20.00

Just another option.

I have a glasspack there and mine sounds like a Porsche.

I have had quite a few compliments on my exhaust note. I also have the y-pipe with cat.

here's a stupid question, do resonators increase resonation within the cabin or decrease? To quiet my bassani down, do I add a resonator or take it out?? Or change it to a differnt one (I don't even know if a stock bassani has one). . .

I believe that Bassani has a center muffler and resonated tips. The only way (according to the design of that system) to quite it down would be to put different mufflers or resonators on the back of the system.

To answer your other question. A resonator is supposed to take unwanted noise (rasp/drone) out of the exhaust system. As a result of this, the noise in the cabin should decrease with the addition of one, as mine did.

A muffler shop worker told me that changing the catalyst system to anything OTHER than OE, even if there is a new converter, is not street legal. Is he right on that, or is there a fuzzy zone in the laws that permits custom Y-pipes so long as there's a converter in the system?

BTW, when a custom Y-pipe is installed (like the SHO Shop pipe), how do you fool the PCM into thinking it still has all four O2 sensors? Assuming, of course, you don't reuse the behind-the-pre-converter sensors...
