This piss-ant, Derek Blake, service manager of Skagit Ford in Burlington, WA kept my car for two days and didn't do ANY work on it while I was paying out of my pocket for a rental. He refused the warranty service on the shift cable linkage connector I mentioned in a previous post, accuseing me of trying to commit "warranty fraud" against Ford.

He did not perform the ANY of the other service items I had requested INCLUDING the mandatory dash recall, because he decided to refuse service to me since I had a telephone disagreement with him and another writer over the shifter issue. Yet he wrote it up as no problem found on the ticket. Then when I called him a "cheat and a liar" to his face, he literally tried to physically attack me. His co-workers had to restrain him on 4 or 5 occasions to prevent him from physically assaulting me. He also cursed at me repeatedly and threatened meet me sometime when he was off work.

I promptly left and called the police. I was escorted back to the dealership to get my car by a detective who also went in to talk with this service manager in the context of criminal charges. I will be pushing the Burlington City Attorney to charge this lunatic and will be more than happy to appear in court. Further I will be filing complaints with the WA State Attorney General's office, Better Business Bureau, calling Dearborn directly, and I will be bringing in my personal attorney. I hope to sue the hell out of these *******s. I also hope this no-good lowlife Blake finds himself with a criminal record and on the unemployed list.

Geez. Glad to hear you're 'taking care of it'. Seriously, calling Ford won't do much. The dealers are 'privately owned' so to speak, it's sorta like a franchise. If he didn't actually touch you, I doubt you can really get him on any type of assault or battery.

from what i understand ford is finally taking dealership complaints seriously.so i'd complain 2 ford

Not quite true...the criminal act of 'assault' involves making threats to an individual, as to make them fearful of their personal safety. 'Battery' is the actual act of attacking a person physically. Sounds to me like a case of simple assult. Go git em to settle out of court by trading in your car for a new SVT Cobra Ragtop hehe laugh

sue the hell out of the b@$t@rds....get something back for the piece of $***$ they have sold to us...

contourguy, just so you know, assault is any verbal threat..he can get him on that...battery is physical...he may not have anything there...so he will get assault and attempted battery, which is enough for him to lose his job..psycho's like that shouldn't be working in customer service...

That is one of the most ludicrous things I have ever heard! Something tells me that this guy has "little man's syndrome" (and I don't mean physical stature if you get my drift). Big tough guy needs to spend a little time behind bars to get his attitude adjusted. As well as lose his job. Don't forget to call the dealership owner and let him know how his employees act when representing him.

the service manager should be the last one to lose his cool like that. like someone else said, he's in the wrong line of work. personally I would love it if I got threatened by someone at Ford Service. I would take full advantage by pimp slapping him repeatedly for not covering my car for a busted transaxle last winter.
