I have Eibachs on my 98 SVT. I also have Koni 5-way adjustable shocks (yellows). I would definetly buy new shocks/struts that are suited to a lowered vehicle height. This applies to any vehicle, not just our cars.... I have lowered without better shocks/struts before, and I think the handling of the car was adversely effected. Definetly consider new shocks/struts.
I have 18's on my car with Eibach/Koni setup and the car handles and rides amazingly.
