I don't know.
I do know that there are lots of unused wiring connectors on most cars for accessories or devices that you may not have. A search through the EVTM (electrical vacuum technical manual) may reveal what it is used for in some cars, and it may not.
There is a seemingly unused terminal with two wires behind the glove box that is used to program the remote door lock fobs.
