One of the damn things came out on my way home from work Friday. I was on the highway and heard something hitting under my car, come to find out a few miles down the road it was the bolt on the top passenger side caliper. It took those few miles to get some shaking and vibration and when I pulled off the road my caliper was sitting against the rim. I have a $1.50 Home Depot bolt in right now and I finally found a dealer that had a bolt in stock.

Has anyone ever had any problem with the bolts backing out any? I check all of them this weekend on the front and they were a little loose. If so, any solutions?

Nope - I've only had problems with the caliper bolts not coming off! smile

Like this weekend when I was trying to replace the right rear rotor. The bottom caliper Torx head stripped after applying over 200 lbs. ft. of torque and it still didn't budge. Ended up cutting the bolt head off, buying a new regular hex head SAE bolt and re-tapping it. Another simple job made difficult by Ford Motor Company. Why, oh why did the brilliant engineers decide it was a great idea to use a Torx head bolt for the rear calipers? Does that make sense to ANYONE? mad
