Here you go! Run #3 was the best eventhough the peak numbers aren't as high as run #4. #3 had the most even curves and HP kept climbing all the way through the power band. Peak torque was somewhere around 4000 RPM.
Run #1: 44.9 HP @4825 RPM, 57.6 lbft @2950 RPM (4th gear, air filters on) Run #2: 52.4 HP @4750 RPM, 62.8 lbft @3800 RPM (4th gear, air filters off) Run #3: 55.1 HP @4850 RPM, 64.9 lbft @4100 RPM (3rd gear, air filters off) Run #4: 56.6 HP @4900 RPM, 65.2 lbft @3750 RPM (3rd gear, air filters off)
Can't wait to tear this engine apart!

Sounds fun. Too bad I missed it. And I had wanted to go too! But I found something else more important to do (or drive )at that time.

My name for the day was torque monster. My car's best run for torque was 160.5 lb/ft. on this same run I made 169.7 hp
My best power was 172.6 hp
And my theory of the cone element at the end of the KKM filter causing a reduction in power was proven. With the inlet of the cone element at the end of the filter open I ran consistantly 8 horsepower and 3ft/lbs less than if I had the inlet to the cone element blocked.

So 98SE, did you get the Probe? If you did, I might have some left over goodies from when I had mine like a repair manual I could give you.
Jay, unbelievable! Where did you get your plug. it looked like a dust shield that would cover a goose neck on a rebuilt crate engine. I may just try taping the end shut and feeling the difference.

I haven't yet. I've been looking at many different ones. The '96 I was looking at turned out to be a bust (only one salesman and he's never there?!, plus its other problems so we just said eh), but I found two really nice '95 GT's yesterday in good condition. One was beautiful, fully loaded but with a price tag to match.
The one I linked to has no p/w or p/l, but rides the best (read: smoothest ) of any other one we've tested, has the lowest mileage (75K ) plus is a good price. I'm seriously considering this one, but we'll see what happens today when we go back to him (private sale). Thanks for offering!
Oh man - sorry for inadvertent attempted theft of the topic everybody! I'm glad it looks like you all enjoyed going, and that the rain didn't put a damper on anything!!

I used a small 6oz tupperware container. Tape would work just as good. Just use anything that blocks air flow. I even thought of packing the end cone element with rags.

I have updated my sig because of my dyno runs. 4th run was the best. Max Hp = 159.3 Max TQ = 148.5 Factory specs for my car are 195HP and 165 tq. My dyno runs are almost exactly to factory spec.
