Ummmmm...IIRC they didn't say it would melt, they said it would send off toxic fumes into your car and you would suffocate and die!!!! But as far as melting...nawwwwww leave it in there.
for it to get off fumes, a change would have to occur i.e. melt or other physical change would occur, which hasn't happened. oh, and for those people wondering, i'm still alive a want svt duals because when i dropp $400 plus on exhaust i want to be the last time (when i get a turbo, which works much better with special exhaust).
