Ions are a yellow fog pattern, superwhites are a driving pencil beam pattern, not a blueish color, but whiter than normal headlights and a hell of a lot brighter!
The lenses are nearly the same size as the stock fogs, hence the reason they fit so good and fill the hole perfectly. IIRC, the SVT and SE use the same fog light housing, just different brackets.
