actually, its the exact opposite. my SVO runs 8:1 compression from the factory.

boost pressurizes the cylinders to generate greater-than 100% volumetric efficiency. less compression allows for the engine to safely run more boost without blowing [censored] up.

higher compression engines like nitrous. ask the LS1 boys...
