Geeze that thing looks tall as the stock one.
Looks like you could have used that bolt plate in place of the wood,but Im sure you tried that?

actually its quite a bit shorter than stock....perfect height imho...no more banging your hands into the stereo...it really is a bit shorter than stock...and the throws it actually takes to shift it are amazingly shorter....

the adapter plate has to be a certain thickness,and be able to have the bolts go through it...and the center hole has to be a certain size...the wood i used is plenty strong..and the shifter is solidly mounted...so the wood is just as good as using metal or anything else imo...it works great...


the bolt plate will not work as the adaptet plate...

you know there is a thing on our shifter called a boot that covers everything,so how does it look bad????i don't get what you are talking about....

I think it looks about the same as mine, except no steeda knob

as chris said the throws are soo short i think sometimes i didn't even shift.
and its not like mushy like its not in gear is just soo short i feels like you only shifted to nuetral.

I paid 140 for mine with the knob and i would pay it again if had to.

mine is the same way,especially 2nd and 4th....i got mine brand new off ebay for $80 w/o knob....i personally think it looks better than stock,and the b+m which is almost too short imo....i just don't understand what that dude meant about it looking bad...
