I had two wheel studs break off about 3 months ago. The breaks were rainbow-colored like they were exposed to extreme heat and broke along a fracture. Either that or they were sub-standard right from the factory. The wheel shop tech that replaced the studs also said that the remaining lugnuts were showing signs of movement (slight, but hey, any movement is bad).

I never got a good answer from the other owners here or from any wheel guys I've talked to. I adjusted the torque from 95 ft-lbs to 75, but I doubt that had anything to do with it. Past archives point to hub-centric vs. wheel-centric wheels. Try a search if you have some time to read. Personally, I wish that we had a 5-stud conversion kit like the Mustangs, or better yet, 6-stud Viper conversion.
