OK. I'm not you, and I probably haven't walked in your shoes, but here are my 2 cents.

I would rather run with bare steelies than be seen with "simulated brake discs." At that, there must be quite a few hubcaps/wheel covers that would be more attractive.

Anyway, I see you have a plan to upgrade your car's appearance, and because you have a limited budget, that plan is likely to proceed slowly. That's fine, and understandable, and I certainly can relate. But the first "no-cost" mod you could do, seriously, is pry off those faky wheel covers. Those things bug me as much as a comb-over.

JMHO.

Yeah, if it was me I'd just paint your new bumper for now (just to match the rest), and get some rims to just get by (for now), from a junkyard or something. My Enkei 16" Aluminum rims came from a junkyard for like $200 bucks (all 4). And I just got some NEVR DULL (tm) and that aluminum shined up like chrome and they look new again! (Don't judge my pics on my site, they show them all dingy, but now they are nice again). You can have nice things without going broke, but you just gotta look around and find the bargains.

Oh, I just remembered, I got some STOCK Contour SE 15" wheels I'd be willing to sell cheap ($100). They look like new. I think they call them 10 spoke or something? But let me know if you might want them.

Not bad for spray paint. But here's a hint. If you know your car's color or paint code, go to auto zone and get the matching dupli color touch up paint in the spray can. they sell it for almost all ford colors, minus t-red and a few other, those just come in the dumb brush bottles. They carry the electric red, but your car looks t-red so then you have to get autumn maple, it's a really close match. But at least that way you could get it to somewhat match instead of just black and it's only like $3 something a can.
