Okay I tried my hand at polygon modeling and so far I think I'm doing pretty good. I did the same thing as with photoshop which was to go through the program first before trying any actual modeling and it seems to have paid off from the feedback I've received.
I did the model without using a picture of my car for help, and there are some mistakes but overall it's pretty close. I haven't figured out texture yet or reflection but it will all come in time!
Here is what I have done so far. The first shot was after about 20 minutes. The rest were spread out over the day as I was on and off the computer all day but overal I spent about 3 hours on the car to date.
I would appreciate any feedback on things it looks like I could be doing differently. I know it's blocky (polygons) but it's incomplete still. I will try another model (a pre-98 this time) using NURBS instead of polygons after the Focus is complete.
Excellent work. I am no where near where you are as fr as modeling skills go, but I am glad I could be of some help in your new found talent. Excellent work.
I just got the program on Friday and have been trying to learn despite having to work overtime all weekend I hate Wal Mart I'll render the store then animate it exploding...
Luke, what previous knowledge base to you have dealing with 3D modeling? You cant tell me this is your first attempt at working with a 3D modeling program, at least I wont believe you at first.
