I had been having a high speed vibration for a while, even after balancing the tires. I checked the balance of the tires again yesterday, and found my left rear was out by quite a bit. The tire balancer at work is a piece of junk, so that is probably what caused the tire to not balance properly the first time.

Good point about using a different wheel balancer if you have a vibration following a wheel balancing.

I got a rotate and balance at NTB (harmless enough for such a simple operation, plus they let you go back in the service bay to watch), and when I took her out on the freeway, I had a vibration. I took her back immediately and asked them to re-balance the wheels using a different machine. All better.

I forgot to mention that I was actually using the same machine both times, and installed the wheel/tire on it the same way as before. That machine has caused a few comebacks for vibration after tire recalls. I'm going to suggest that they get a new machine to prevent future problems like this.

I'm still getting rid of this car within a few months though.
