I have recently picked up a steering wheel "shimmy" (small left-right oscillation) that is most notable on new/smooth asphalt. New Michelins all around. Also noted that there was a small amount of play in the rod ends themselves. Low tire pressure from a rim leak (now fixed) made it worse.
Yes, '99 is very early for tie rod ends, especially considering it has <40K. I'll "feel better" with new Moog end, with zerks !
