Im currious , i have a 99 coutour SE with 5 speed manual,
cutted main cat, custon exhaust and other mods done to it , the cas has 40k on it and it runs STRONG, no problems with it at all , BUT im starting to worder.........WHY did i get blown away by a Hyudayi tiburan? and a Neon ?
what do i need to do to make this car fast ?

a few tips -
MAF and open air element air filter w/ a heat shield will do wonders.
go get yourself a high flowing cat instead of a gutted cat.

....hmm definitely not a tiburon, they are slow (stock that is), and a neon you should have smoked too.

you shift poorly, you could've blown those cars away cake. . .

Not if it is a new tiburan.. they are quite fast

170hp and 180tq and a 6speed to boot

oh yeah the new ones have V6's in them

and a neon IF its a rt can run high 15's stock but reg ones run 17 stock

Neon was a RT tiburon was a 99 or around there , cant shift poor on the highway LOL , unless i had a 6th gear !!
but no , my car runs PERFECT, but once i hit 115MPH forget it , all i see is the car ahead of me pulling away from me

i was thinking of the Sho Shop Y pipe but who knows what that will do for me , i did do the intake ....

well anyway i will keep you posted on the cars that smoke me !! LOL

You sure you're not hitting the speed limiter?

These cars arent really all that fast. I have the same problem, even had Camry's and such stomp it and mines an SVT! If you want a fast car you will have to buy something else.
