It was done in the Northern Territory, where there are lots of long flat roads and no speed limits..... Must go there one day! 
By the way all ST24's come factory fitted with 205/50R16 Z rated tyres.
Someone needs to build a Aussie-USA bridge.....I would even pay a toll.
