The manufacturer is at SEMA currently, so we won't hear back from them until early next week.

Before he left, the president of the company we're working with, hadn't heard back yet from overseas for the final quote for the hoods. But he's expecting to get it once they get back to their office next week.

I would just like to reiterate that we have not, and WILL NOT give up on this Group Buy. You just can't rush perfection

So for those of you who were needing to save money... stick with us, and we'll get you figures as soon as humanly possible And if you've already got money in hand.... hold on to it, as we ARE going to get this done

Definitely!! I really really really sincerely apologize for the long delays in getting quotes but the manufacturer, but as soon as he's back from SEMA I'll be pushing this issue as much as I can! Have just a wee little bit of faith. This is going to be just one of a small line of products we hope to get for you guys!

Hey a quick question..........
Are these hoods going to be the type that have a single layer or maybe two of carbon fiber and then backed by a thick layer of chopper gun fiberglass? Those are purely cosmetic and can be HEAVIER than the oem hood.

I'm only interested if they are made predominatly of carbon fiber and are HIGH quality. Not trying to get pissey, I just want to know what I'm getting and for what price. No rush, I want to see you guys get an awsome hood produced!

The ONLY part of the hood that will be fiberglass will be the frame. The rest will be carbon fiber, 100%, through and through. Not just cosmetic carbon fiber. These hoods WILL weigh a TON less than a stock hood, and a decent amount less than a fiberglass hood.

So...........who's doin the what now?

Okay, here's how it is:

Manufacturer is looking at the design we chose. They are contacting the factory that holds that mold (as they don't work with that factory anymore) to secure the mold of the vent/scoop for us. Once the mold is procured, they will contact us to get the ball rolling. Things are settling back down to equilibrium now during the end of the year season so I hope that we can get this off the ground and rolling. If you guys wanted OEM style we probably could've had them done by now, but for a hood as sexy as the one you guys want, it's worth the wait IMO.

I am all for it. I am excited and just want a good product.

Well as I posted in the body kit group buy my 'tour is no more.. Due to some transmission problem I traded her in this weekend.. I should no longer be on the list of those interested... Thanks again and good luck
