For the breakdown of the price, think of it this way:
-For the OEM style hood, we were shooting for a price around $300, but for an OEM hood, the manufacturer doesn't have to do any tooling to come up with the design, since we would provide them with one, and all they would have to do is copy it
-But for the WRX style, the manufacturer would have to take the OEM hood, modify it to add the scoop, and then modify the underlying frame (as the frame of the OE hood is right where that scoop would have to be).
-THEN once they had a plug from which to make the other hoods, they have to BUILD them, and building a hood with that kind of scoop, and curves in it, is a lot harder process compared to the relatively smooth Stock Hood.
So yeah basically the price for this type of hood is definately
GOING to be a lot more than the stock hood,
BUT WE ARE NOT GOING TO GIVE UP ON THIS , we are going to get the absolute lowest price we can, and get this MOFO MADE FOR YOU GUYS!!!!!
But as of right now, the price won't get higher than $430
So you guys can be comfortable in THAT at least
