 I need a Pre 98 hood, you would think most of the pre 98 guys have more miles (read: more stone chips in the hood) making it a better option than new. PLEASE make this for pre 98's too ( i own both but only want to lighten the load on the 95)

Being that the hoods are different, that means an entirely new mold for the pre 98 hoods. That'll mean another minimum order amount, etc, etc. Let me see what we can do. I'm talking to them at the moment and will get quotes by monday.

Keep in mind that there is another GB on 98+'s, no one makes a Pre 98 so they would have the sole aftermarket for this item, something you can use to get them a bit more interested in it.
Hector, I bet yours has more chips, but mine has a nasty bow in it from the previous owner and a nasty stain in the paint. I just want to get a few pounds shaved off with the CF.

Okay, first quote we got from one place for carbon fiber hood over fiberglass frame is $430 + shipping ( I would have to call a freight company on shipping in that case ) . We'll be contacting another place to see if we can get a cheaper rate. Apparently the work to tool the hood in that shape is a bit on the pricey side.  I'll post a quote from the other mfgr sometime early next week.

So we are going with a new company now? $430 plus shipping is pretty expensive, but I guess staying in the $300 ballpark is out of the question with that style hood, whatever, Im still in.
