It really does depend on what you want. I have a "traditional snow tire" definately not much performance but I will tell you I can pretty much go through anything with them and have very good traction. This will be the 4th winter with them and they are still in great shape. But if you still want some peformance they may not be the best choice but they are not "that" bad. They were not really expensive either I think about 60 each. They are Hercules tires. Hey they do the job and I feel safe with them.
