Ya, I saw the lightning in front of you, I just didn't see you. That sucks hardcore. What are the symptoms? You have a very similar tranny to mine.

Sorry about the bad news. Keep us posted. Did you get a run in and if so how did you do? The cold air was nice. I was able to up the boost a little and pull a 13.1 @ 104.4. Unfortunate for you guys, traction was terrible. Poor traction usually means wheel hop, and we all know that leads to bad things. If its serious, it would be a good time for a Quaiffe diff. Good luck.

Wow.. I'm sorry.. that definitely had to suck.

Umm I had some nasty wheel hop and as soon as I got off the gas realizing the hop wasn't going to stop I shifted into second and then nothing happrend. It is like my car is always in neutral, it still runs though.

Yeah I got one post in a 15.6 and then I realized I never took the crap out of my trunk so I did and then I was on that next run and well read above for what happened. I don't know about the Quaife hopefully it isn;t that serious and well whatever it is the labor will be enough for me to spend never mind tacking on another 600 or whatever it is. Ia m going to find out monday what the problem is I think so I will post again.

you are

100%, no doubt about it, no question, certain

correct.

ask mark (mtorsx) about the reason why i haven't gone yet and ya'll would love to laugh at me. lol...

me scared.....me very a-scared. not so much scared, but nervous. i get nervous about the whole "gotta beat a 14.9" thing.... i'm dumb. maybe if we had a meet at the track, i would go...then again, probably not...wouldn't want everyone watching me. lol

I was so god damn nervous I had to follow in svtdriver's 15.29 stock which I think is wicked good. On my very first run I had gotten what I hopped I woulf get a 15.7 and then I managed to get it down to 15.42 which I was very very very happy about. I was happy with the 2.3 flat on the sixty too. I never want to go back tot he track again after this extravaga but I know the new whatever it is to be replaced will be taunting me to go back. Who knows we will see. Hey if you really want it broken I bet I can arrange that for you

well, I'm thinking you may have snapped a halfshaft. Worse it could be an input shaft or the like. Get the jack, jackstands, and get dirty!!!

The halfshafts are the CV axles, or outer driveshafts. This is a common break item for my car, and I know yours aren't as heavy duty. Wheel hope could induce breakage of either the axle itself, or the joint. You have an open differential stock, so if one blew, you'd just sit there and go nowhere. The input shaft is the one that sprouts from the transmission, and goes into the clutch. If this snapped, your car could rev as much as it wanted, but nothing would even be transferred to the transmission.
