if putting a restricter plate inbetween the egr and the throttle body will give you better throttle response, and the egr is shut off under wot, but is the point of having it why not just put a solid plate instead of a restricter plate in between them, besides the CEL coming on?
The gas will just hit the plate and go back down

FWIK the PCM is calibrated for some amount of EGR. I believe it lowers cumbustion temps which can help reduce pinging. Probably some other stuff too. ??? Mine's running CEL free with a 1/4" hole. Haven't tried a 1/8" hole to see results.
