I happen to like the old-body Contours just fine. They don't look like anything else on the road that I'm aware of and the ZX2 has quite distinctive shark-nose on it. I think the styling is great.
And BTW, Escorts have four doors. A ZX2 has two. They are not even called escorts anymore for more reaons than one. To even compare the two is an insult.
