You really can't compare the ZXtuner 4-2-1 race header that is fully ceramic coated to the pacesetter uncoated shorty header. It's like saying a yugo is a "better deal" that a Porsche turbo just beacuase it's cheaper.

pacesetter's products are crap... they lack quality in what they sell. I have a few friends that drive neons and they wouldn't put anything from pacesetter on their cars, and there are alot of different things pacesetter sells for the neons.

I thought those 4-2-1 headers were not street legal. Anyways, thanks for setting me straight on the shorty header, I don't really know brands so... Anyways, what makes the Pacesetter so bad? Just wondering cus I really want to put a header on my Mystique. Thanks

I whole heartedly agree, but I have never actually met anyone foolish enough to buy something from pacesetter so I couldn't pass judgement just based on brand, I was simply comparing the features of each header. I'll just break it down kindergarten style for any of you looking to buy a header.
Zxtuner: Full length, 4-2-1 design(excellent for a wide strong power band), ceramic coated(also a huge plus) and Zxtuner never sells crap.

Pacesetter: shorty street-style header(narrower power band increase), uncoated , and it is generally accepted that pacesetter sells crap for cheap people who are looking for something aftermarket that is supposed to be "better-than stock".

Why they are reffered to as crap is my question.

Based on the brand I don't trust it when peeps say that. I am a strong believer in Sumitomo and Yokohama tires, alot of people, simply because of the price, think they are crap, BUT THEY ARE NOT. Again, back to the 4-2-1 deal, IS IT STREET LEGAL??? I refuse to pay $350 for a header that is not even street legal, and I refuse to pay the same ammount for a header that looks shinier.

WHAT MAKES PACESETTER PRODUCTS CRAP?

Thanks.

1 goto www.neons.org search their forums for pacesetter and you will see MANY owners how have been unhappy with their products.
2 is any header that removes the cat street legal answer NO... is it legal if you add an aftermarket cat answer is still NO, unless it is in the factory location. hence the term used "race header" you can find not sure for the tour though street headers which are 100% street legal. cause in ALL 50 states to remove OR relocate the cat it is illegal. granted there are millions and millions of places that will do either one for you. but they are taking a great risk on their part to do so cause they have to fill out a form eact time the put a new cat on a car explaining as to why they replaced it and not one of them would dare to say the relocated it.
