To be accurate, Philips didn't change their design. Rather, Autolamps modified the Philips ballasts to accept their modified 9006 bases, and now, their custom pigtails.

I have projectors, waiting on a set of new headlight assemblies to put them in. The lens in the projector is set in front of the parabolic reflector, so I still need to figure out how to block waste light. Factory HIDs have a chrome shroud in the headlight assembly. Milan, mind if I ask what you're using?
