There is no compensation to be made. They are simply designed differently. The focal points on them are different too. Hence, when you put them in wrong settings they don't perform as good.

Let me explian in really simple terms.. This is what you will have with D2R bulbs U U just image that being your two beams. You get that because of the stipe that is on the bulb. When you have a D2S bulb you get this - - two straght lines which give the light more of a arch. I am not going to argue with you because I dont know all the techincal BS. I am just giving you straght facts. I have been using both kits for around 2 years total so I know what I am talking about. If you guys need some REAL advise goto www.suvlights.com and talk Eric. THis guy works for McCulloch which makes the best damn HID kits in the world. Autolamps.com ,etc are all BS. Again just my 2. cents.
