Is it possible to change out the Rear Door Sail panels on a '96 Mystique to the better looking '98-00 style sail panel?

I have call Lincoln Mercury and two Ford Dealerships who can not answer this question and all give me different prices for the replacement parts.

The best price so far has been $45.00 a side.
Is this correct?

Lincoln Mercury wanted $65.00 a side.

Just a couple screws. The Ford panels cost less than $20, Mercury's should be about the same. Give Bill Jenkins a call, 1-800-282-2290, he should be able to hook ya up.

Look around the CEG website, there are a lot of memebers that like eitehr the before or after 1998 panels willing to trade.

They are easy to swap out.

I believe he recently sent a message to the mailing list with the numbers and prices for the older style. IIRC they were pretty cheap through him. $12-14 I think.

Or, if you want to go unique, go to www.bnmotorsports.com and check out their brushed stainless inserts for the sail panels. But you'd still need the newer style panels to start with since that is the only one with a removable insert.
