Why the alcohol???
Also I am thinking of trying this stuff called Chemtrol-B12 which has been around for years. They sell it at pep boys and sound like it would work well. Well OK I already bought it..hehe, but I will try to research it before I dump it in my gas tank...!

The windex bottle method is the right way to go. Iether that or use Mopar Combustion Chamber cleaner in you engine. I did it on the weekend and white smoke came pouring out for 15 minutes. You can buy it from the Parts dept at your local Chrysler Dealership. It's like $6 a can and work wonders!
The way water works is that when it is subjected to the combustion process, it turns to steam, which the carbon is dislodged by as it heats up and exits the combstion chamber.
I used that process on my father-in-laws Corvette, but I used a 50-50 mix of rubbing alcohol and water and sprayed it into his carb with the aircleaner off.
