I'm not betting on getting it started exactly because of all of the things we're doing to it. We've got to fabricate the electric WP pipes and hoses, install a Vortech SC, fuel pump (if Jesse doesn't get it done this next week)... That's a LOT to do!!! It's just a good thing we didn't do a Bulldog on the swap or there'd be even more fabrication for the brackets and such!!! I doubt there will be any rides because we don't want to push it until we can get it on a dyno and know for sure that the timing retard is done correctly.

Blast! I'm in OK that weekend, otherwise I'd love to head up, watch, get in the way and ask annoying questions.

Just ask Rick. I think he was ready to bludgeon me to death with a tire-iron I was in the way so much during my suspension install.

Good luck on the install. If things go as planned for me, you guys may be getting my SVT in 6 months or so for a tranny/SC treatment.

Sorry Brad no fuel pump so we'll have to do it right next weekend or I'll do it when I get back. I might not have the chip either, Vortech is being a little beyatch and hasn't even sent it out yet! I'm hoping to just be able to limp it back going under 4000rpms especially if I don't have the right chip, and we may have to solder my PCM as well. I just need to get it to Cerra's and let them doctor it up, then I'll give rides all day!

I offer PnP Heads for all durtec's details at PnPheads.com or jesse@pnpheads.com for details.

Sorry if this has been covered before but Vortech will make a chip for the 3L? And I'm guessing that if indeed that's the case, their SC works not only for the 2.5L but for the 3L as well? When I say work, I know physically bolting it up is pretty much the same but I'm thinking will Vortech stand behind their product going in a 3L as oppose to the 2.5L since that's what it was designed for.

Brad, I would like to be there, it would be a blast to work on another 3L engine project (this time with help/company) but you know I will not have much free time anymore. If anyone is close to Kileen TX and Fort Hood, that's where I'll be.

LOL! I only have 56K at home for access, might get a bit jumpy between image uploads for a live feed...

They don't make a chip to support our needs on this project directly, but they were very eager to help get it done by sending out the chip for us to install (which they normally don't do). That way we take out the mistake of spark advance intially, even if it's not an optimized program. At least we wouldn't hurt the engine if Jesse's foot went down to far and killed the engine by detonation. We've also now got a back up plan as well involving some prototype parts... Jesse, you'll have some email later.

BTW, thanks Tom, for the well wishes.
