Well, when I called about Steve turning 25...our insurance company told me that we can't reep the benefits until we re-sign. I thought this was kind-of weird (especially since the last time I spoke with a rep. from there, they told me to call on his b-day just to remind them). He told me that we are locked into that price for the whole year term (which also includes if you get 10 tickets in one year, you won't get charged for them until you re-sign). Hmmm...I thought, that's funny, because when we got married, they applied it right away. Anyhow...does anyone have any insight on this? I'm going to call them back today and speak to someone different just to make sure!

He probably won't save much if you guys have re-upped since you got married. That is a big discount right there. If you haven't reupped since then, make sure and tell them he is 25 AND married. They'll feel so bad for him they gotta give him a discount.

Hey- that's not nice! You're just jealous!!!

We haven't re-signed since we've been married (we sign every year in February/March)...but, our rates did surely go down. The guy said that it will go down about $225/yr for being 25. Not too shabby...it's still $$$! We just have to wait until Feb/March to see the rate decrease! Oh well! One thing that is really gonna stink is when we re-sign in Feb/March of 2004, I will be turning 25 in April! Ugh! The guy said that sometimes they will give the benefit early, though (because it's so close). So...who knows!

I believe that is BS. When I turned 25, I called my insurance company and my rates went down right away. Maybe it depends on the company. I would demand to speak with a manager and get to the bottom of this. Insurance companies love to get their money.

I recently turned 25 and I am married and I asked the agent about it. What she said was that with the marrage discount turning 25 doesn't make a diffrence. Now if you are singel and you turn 25 you should get a pretty large drop.

I remember my insurance going from $3000.00 a year to $1200.00 a year when I turned 25. Oh, I was single as well.

When I hit the 3 yr anniversary of getting my licence, my ins. went down. I didn't have to call, they notified me. Didn't make much of a difference though, I'm still paying ~1400 a year ....... with a 2k deductible Oh yeah, I'm 28 too.
