wrong, if anything its dance
I beg to differ and so does Lance. ATB Artist Profile A snippet from the profile: "ATB is a relatively new but established Trance producer who's first major hit has in itself, already become a huge Trance anthem! ATB, better known to his friends and family as Andre Tannenberger, is a German born and influenced DJ, producer, remixer and dance-floor chart-topper! His first major hit was "9 PM (Till I Come)" which debuted in 1998. That track alone essentially brought ATB and his quick production skills out of his bedroom and into the spotlight...bringing him the opportunities to remix music from some of the top names in Electronica as well as allowing him to refine his own production skills." -Christy

Snippet from ATB's own website: Go here to read the whole thing : http://www.atb-music.com/english/bio.html"With his debut single "9 PM (Till I Come)" released under the project name ATB, André Tanneberger made the big leap forward to become one of the top acts in the international Dance scene." "For his second studio album "Two Worlds" ATB had a very special idea. He wanted to produce both a Dance and a Chill-out album. So, what could be more obvious than a double album!" Go download songs like "Hold You" and "Let You Go". But hey, if Lance and his wife say it's Trance, then who am I to differ?

There is no specific Dance music genre, both Trance and Techno are music genres and are considered "Dance" music. But ultimately I think people classify ATB as part of the Trance genre...that's why you'll find his stuff on Trance Nation and Trance All-star albums. =) Christy

If you want to argue about a technicallity like "Trance" or "Techno" find someone else. All I said was it was one of my favorite artists then 5 people jump down my throat telling me I dont know my ass from a hole in the ground because ATB is trance and not techno.

I'm here for ya bud... everybody is a critic. ATB is one of my favorite artists too. I have a hard enough time finding other people that like that type of music that when I do, I'm too excited to argue about what is trance, or progressive, or eurogressive, or techno, or garage, or speed garage, or jungle, or house, or eurodance, or europop, or hard house, or drum and base, or... did I miss anything? I just call it all electronica, which is good enough for me.
