Kudos to Lance, after much advice from him and a serious amount of jawing with my local dealer, I took my 95 in for a complete wiring harness replacement yesterday (recall #99M03) I am nervous about the results, as the service writer let it slip that the electrical guys, mechanical guys and one other group of techs are all arguing about who should do the job. Also told me they thought they would have to remove the motor to get it done. This engine plugged the catalytic converter about 2 years ago (Ford paid for 90% of that repair because I had good service records and had documented a chronic check engine light problem beginning with less 10,000 miles on the vehicle)

I slipped in right under the wire on the wire harness recall - 98,500 current miles and the warranty expires at 100K

glad u got it done....i let the dealers frustrate me and i lagged and now im over 100k and so now im just hoping that nothing goes bad or that i can replace the car when it does if not find a relatively inexpensive way to get it fixed

i had mine replaced but they did not do the MAF harness. everything else but that. my o2 sensors look to be new also. the wires on them are really clean and i know i have a super clean car but i know what new wires look like. i hate taking my car to the dealer. i asked them if they could just give me the harness so i could do it myself b/c i didn't trust them touching my car. they said that they had to do it b/c it is warrenty work. i hate ford. i really do.
