Norman Member N Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 293 Montreal Canada	I took my 98 Coutour to LaSalle Ford here in Montreal Canada for the recall. I told them what I read on this website about the "thunking" sound of the retainer kits once installed. They told me there "was" a problem with this and Ford rectified the problem by making some sort of alteration to the inner fender liner. I haven't had any problems with the recall installation kit.
