I too had my engine replaced but the reason mine went bad was because of the 95 timing chain problem. If you owners with a 95 V6 hear a clatter upon startup you probably by now need a new engine. That clatter was the timing chains rapping against the tensioner, but this is normal. The abnormal thing is in our engines there is little to no oil in there at initial startup mad . That in turn after years of starts puts metal chips throughout the engine. What failed on mine was the oil pick up tube was clogged with chips and this thus caused a lack of oil pressure throughout the engine mad . And this goes without saying, it was bad. Afterwards my engine ran fine, but while it was being worked on coincidentally the A/C condensor was ruined. Insurance covered everything but the coolant, extra oil (6.5 quarts), and the refrigerant.
